Tyee Hackathon 2025 provides an opportunity for Bellevue School District middle school students to learn, collaborate with others, and sharpen their coding skills! You can compete individually or in a team of up to three to create an impactful tech solution. There are prizes! Bring a positive attitude, and let's have some fun!!

Everyday Heroes

Challenge: Create tools to help people in everyday jobs. Examples: Apps for teachers to track homework, a virtual assistant for parents, or a tool for librarians.

 

Requirements

What to Build

  • You have to follow the theme: Everyday Heroes

    Challenge: Create tools to help people in everyday jobs. Examples: Apps for teachers to track homework, a virtual assistant for parents, or a tool for librarians.

  • You can use any programming language
  • The judges must be able to run your project online. So you must host it on Repl.it, Scratch, etc or your own website. 

What to Submit

  1. The link to your project (No source code or binary submissions)
  2. A description of your project and what you learned

On May 1, 2025, during club time, you will have 10 minutes to present your project to the judges. If you are not part of the Tyee Programming Competition Club then please email tyeeprogramcomp@gmail.com to get the link to the meeting.

    How creative is their project in solving the problem at hand?
  • Adherence to Theme
    Does the hack adhere to the event's theme?
  • Completion
    Does it work? Did the team achieve everything they wanted?
